Van Life is an energetic collection that is inspired by vibrant and lyrical patterns that decorate the European coast. The Van life movement has grown in popularity since the outbreak of the global pandemic and has encouraged individuals to reassess their priorities by embracing outdoor living and adventure. The Van Life collection has a strong focus on colour and abstract pattern with the intention of evoking happiness and comfort to the interior of a ‘home away from home’. As someone who has travelled in a campervan for over a month, I experienced that being submerged within nature has strong connotations with a healthy well-being. My passion for colour and pattern has allowed for the production of unique repeats through a painterly approach, which pays homage to travel and exploration that can be enjoyed by campervan lovers everywhere.
