Eclectic Expressions is a mid to high end interiors collection that was inspired by fashion icon Iris Apfel. Her impressive career and eccentric style have informed my visual research and colour palette for this collection. During this project I tried to investigate the theory that colour can play a part in altering mood, by using this information I have carefully considered my palette for this collection. Iris Apfel’s Manhattan apartment is a personal museum of her life and career, using it as her own personal source of inspiration. I have tried to respect this way of sourcing inspiration within my own project by drawing from my surroundings within my own home such as, home house plants and jewellery. Finally, this project was a way of exploring printing digitally and working independently on my own brief and managing my time appropriately.
