Hello

My name is Betty, I am currently in my third year of studying Textiles (BA Hons) at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in printed textiles. Over the past three years I have been developing hand printing techniques such as screen printing as well as CAD and digital skills that have helped prepare me for a future in printed textiles. These skills have allowed me to confidently create various collections that could be professionally produced in industry. 

My excitement for design started as a result of being surrounded by art and design since I can remember. I have always experimented with colour and enjoyed journalling and drawing from all of my surroundings. I hope to transfer this method of recording visual research into my future job opportunities and take a real personal approach to my designs. 

Everything I have learned over the past three years has allowed me to grow in confidence as a designer and encouraged me to keep pushing myself to explore new techniques and design methods. I hope to continue to learn and develop as not only a print designer but also a young person in the creative industry.
